Welcome to Hillside Cottage! Hillside Cottage is a charming home centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock, offering convenient access to the High Country's top attractions. Boone is just minutes away and offers a range of amenities, including Appalachian State University, Boone Golf Club, public parks, and numerous local shopping and dining options. A quick ten-minute drive will take you to Downtown Blowing Rock, where you can explore local dining and shopping, as well as the community park. You can also hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, located less than ten minutes from the cottage, for a scenic drive, a mountain hike, or a picnic at an overlook. Price Park, accessible from the Parkway, features camping, boating, fishing on Price Lake, and a variety of hiking and walking trails. Adventure seekers can visit Tweetsie Railroad, High Gravity Adventures Zip Line, or Appalachian Ski Mountain. Hillside Cottage is a newly renovated two-level home with multiple living areas, including a game room. The main level features an open floor plan, bright walls, and plenty of natural light. You can relax in the living room while watching your favorite show on the TV or enjoy the mountain views and lush trees from the sunroom, which is perfect for year-round use. The sunroom invites conversation among friends and family and offers a quiet space to reflect or read a new book. Downstairs, guests can play pool or watch the big game on the Smart TV. Step outside to the covered deck and unwind in the hot tub after a day on the slopes or hiking the Parkway. The lower yard features a custom fire pit where guests can roast marshmallows for s'mores and share stories from their mountain adventures. This three-bedroom mountain getaway accommodates up to eleven guests. The main level includes the master suite, which features a queen bed and a beautiful private ensuite bathroom with a free-standing soaker tub and a step-in shower. There are two additional bedrooms located off the game room. One is a queen bedroom that shares a common bathroom with the bunk room, which can sleep five guests in a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed. The game room's full-size sleeper sofa can fit two additional guests. Guest amenities include WiFi, central heating and air conditioning, a laundry room, and a main-floor powder room. Hillside Cottage welcomes one dog with your reservation, subject to an additional pet fee. Access to the house is from a paved parking area with a no-step entry to the covered front porch. During the winter months (October to March), we strongly recommend 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and chains may be necessary in snowy or icy conditions.
