Terms and Conditions for Reservation & Hotel Room Booking
By reserving and booking overnight accommodation with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Guests who do not agree to the terms and conditions below should not reserve a reservation or check-in to the property.
1. Booking and Payment
• Reservation Deposit Policy: A 50% deposit of the total booking value is due at the time of booking. The remaining 50% will be automatically collected 30 days prior to arrival using a payment method on file. By agreeing to the terms and conditions of this booking, you authorize that the charge of the remaining balance will be automatically withdrawn on or near the due date.
• Unsuccessful Deposit: Any portion of the reservation deposit that is declined will result in cancellation of booking.
• Payment Methods: We accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH transfers. We do not accept cash for any services or accommodation at the property.
3. Cancellation Policy
• Non-Refundable Period: Reservations are non-refundable during the period of 30 days or less to the date of arrival.
• Refundable Period: Reservations canceled prior to 30 days of arrival are eligible for a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
• Weather Policy: There are no refunds or cancellations due to weather, ferry boat availability, or acts of nature. If both ferry boats cancel trips on the day of arrival and you are unable to reach the island, you may reschedule the stay, however, this is subject to availability and rate difference.
• Exceptions: No exceptions are made to the cancellation policy unless booking protection is purchased at the time of booking. Booking protection cannot be added after the reservation is confirmed.
4. Check-in and Check-out
• Check-in Time: Check-in is from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival.
• Check-out Time: Check-out is by 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
• Identification: Valid photo identification is required at check-in. A photocopy of your ID will be taken during the check-in process. This is used for including but not limited to, verifying your identity, preventing fraud, and ensuring security.
5. Guest Responsibilities
• Occupancy: The room rate is based on the total occupancy limit of the guest room. The number of guests cannot exceed the total occupancy limit of the guest room due to safety, local ordinances, and fire code.
• Conduct: Guests and their parties must conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Any behavior issues or breaches of any policy, as determined by hotel staff, may result in eviction without a refund.
6. Hotel Policies
• No Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms and indoor areas. Smoking is not permitted on hotel room balconies or patios. Any smoking in the guest room or patio/balcony will result in a $250 fine. The only designated smoking area is in the hotel parking lot, at least 20 feet away from any building or vehicle.
• Pets: Pets are not allowed.
• Noise: Please respect other guests by keeping noise to a minimum, especially between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Guests can be evicted from the hotel without a refund due to excessive noise as determined by a hotel staff member.
• Refunds: Once guests have arrived and checked into the property, we are unable to provide refunds for any reason, including dissatisfaction with service or accommodation. Dates of stay changes are also unable to be altered with a refund or adjustment.
7. Liability
• Personal Belongings: The hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
• Safety: Guests are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their belongings.
8. Privacy Policy
• Data Collection: We collect personal information for the purpose of processing your booking and providing our services.
• Data Protection: Your personal information is protected and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
• Telecommunication: By providing your phone number, you agree to receive text messages from our company. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
9. Chargeback Policy
• Disputes: By booking, you agree to contact us directly to resolve any issues before initiating a chargeback. We reserve the right to provide evidence to dispute any chargebacks that we believe are unjustified. Chargebacks that are reported against your reservation will result in reservation cancellation.
10. Amendments
• Changes to Terms: The hotel reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Guests will be notified of any changes.
11. Governing Law
• These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ohio.
