Smoky View Chalet is a charming cabin nestled in the woods, conveniently close to all the local attractions. With two bedrooms, one includes a heart-shaped jetted tub, it’s well suited for both a romantic getaway and a vacation for a family of six. As is typical of roundette cabins, Smoky View Chalet’s main living area is an airy, open space with plenty of windows to let in the sunshine and mountain breezes. Whether you’re curled up on the couch to watch TV or surfing the web in the rocking chair, you’re never far from the wood-burning fireplace, the dining table that seats six or the kitchen. The kitchen, by the way, is fully equipped with everything from a full-size refrigerator, oven/stove, coffee maker and a toaster, along with cookware and tableware. There’s even a dishwasher because no one wants to waste precious vacation time scrubbing dishes. Outside, you'll find a large picnic table so that you can take full advantage of the lush woodland view, the fresh mountain air, and the singing of warblers during the day and whip-poor-wills at night. The spacious game room makes up the entire downstairs of Smoky View Chalet. The kids can play foosball while the grownups shoot pool—or vice versa—and everyone can sprawl out on one of the roomy sofas to watch a movie on the large flat-screen TV with cable and a DVD player. The two bedrooms are back upstairs on the main floor, and each includes a flat-screen TV and plenty of storage. The primary bedroom boasts a king-size bed and large heart-shaped jetted tub. Enjoy a solo soak after a day of hiking or skiing to soothe your tired muscles or luxuriate among the bubbles with your special someone for a romantic end to the day. The primary bedroom has an en-suite powder room as well. Smoky View Chalet’s washer and dryer are in this half-bathroom. Here’s your opportunity to return home from vacation with your laundry already done! The full bathroom, in the hall, includes a combination shower/tub. Of course, we’ll provide all the clean towels you could possibly need, leave your linens home where they belong. When you stay at Smoky View Chalet in summer, you’ll have free access to the nearby outdoor pool. And any time of year, the cabin’s location provides convenient access to an abundance of other things to do. For instance, just down the road is the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, an eight-mile trail of more than 120 studios, galleries and shops featuring everything from woodcarvings to watercolors, chainsaw art to jewelry. Less than 15 minutes away are the wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Downtown Gatlinburg is just as close. Here’s where you’ll find the Guinness World Records Adventure, arcades, thrill rides, an aquarium, mini golf, distilleries and more. From downtown, you can ride the tram up to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area, home to ice-skating and a wildlife exhibit year-round as well as skiing and snowboarding in winter. However you spend your days, you’ll love returning to the quiet charm and relaxing amenities of Smoky View Chalet. Book your stay today and start planning your fun-filled getaway.
