Each unit, the Patio Cottage and the Patio Villa, has its own private entrance and is tastefully decorated to create a cozy atmosphere. And to save money, guests are welcome, if they wish, to book the Patio Cottage directly with Scott, the owner of the Portland Eco House. ARRIVING When you open the large gate and enter the spacious stone patio, its natural serene atmosphere at once transports you from the tumult of the outside world. The Patio Villa welcomes you with its covered porch overlooking the patio while at the very far back the Patio Cottage invites you in with its double French doors. AMMENITIES Each unit features a luxurious queen bed with organic cotton sheets and a private bathroom. In the Patio Cottage, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge, freezer, induction cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, and French coffee press. The Patio Villa features a compact kitchenette with similar amenities. - Enjoy the bright colors, high ceilings, custom woodwork, quality fixtures, and original artwork and prints that adorn each unit. - Each unit provides a high-pressure shower with organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash, as well as complementary fair trade organic coffee and teas. Bins - Enjoy filtered tap water and thus avoid the use of plastic bottles and help preserve our beautiful planet. - Each unit has ample closet space, ironing facilities, luggage rack, and plenty of countertops. Browse through travel brochures and magazines to plan your activities, or relax in front of the 50-inch 4K UHD Android TV in the Patio Suite. As a responsible host, I have taken extra steps to make your stay eco-friendly. Complementary organic fair trade coffee and teas are provided. Filtered tap water delivered directly from the pure mountain reservoir lets you avoid bottled water and help reduce plastic pollution to protect our oceans and ecosystems. Bins for easy separation of recyclables and compost are provided under the kitchen sink. THE PATIO - Relax at the bistro table in front of the Patio Cottage or on the porch of the Patio Suite, sipping your morning coffee or tea while planning your day. You can also dine al fresco at the patio table or unwind on the lounge set and gather around the gas fire pit. LOCATION - The location of the Patio Cottage is unbeatable. The central location of the cottage allows for easy exploration of the stunning Columbia Gorge and Oregon Coast. - Getting here is also easy, whether you're arriving by car, public transportation, or train. Detailed directions are available online at the Portland Eco House and upon request. - Getting around is a breeze, with free on-street parking available, bike rentals just three blocks away, and convenient access to public transportation. PLEASE NOTE: - Due to health restrictions, pets or assistance animals cannot be permitted on the property. - Below are the Rental Policies for the Patio Villa. Before you book, kindly take a moment to review them and let me know that they work for you. ============================= ★ RENTAL POLICIES (House Rules) ★ RENTAL AGREEMENT. Guests are required to electronically sign a Rental Agreement when they book. GUEST PHOTO ID. In order to prevent credit card fraud and for other security precautions, each guest upon booking is required to provide a complete (no info hidden) copy of their government-issued photo ID. To guests who value their privacy: no parties will have access to or view their IDs other than their host Scott in his one-person, one-location operation, as it is stored in an encrypted server that only he has access to, and no biometric scanning or analysis will be conducted on their IDs. FOUR GUESTS MAXIMUM. The maximum number of Guests allowed to stay in the Patio Villa is four (4). ADDITIONAL GUEST(S). The Patio Villa is open only to the Guest(s) already booked. If you would like an additional person to be added as a Guest during the Rental Period, you are welcome to make a request for this change. If it can be accommodated, the rental rate will be adjusted accordingly. CHILDREN. The Patio Villa is not a suitable rental for children or infants. A child is defined as any person under the age of 18. VISITORS. For this property to maintain its short-term rental license, it is required by the City to limit the total number of guests and their visitors on the property. Because of this, visitors of registered guests may possibly be permitted onto the Property ONLY after guests have first checked with your host Scott about it. This includes any person(s) you may wish to come visit you or to assist you with checking in or out. MAIL AND PACKAGES. If Guest wishes to receive mail or packages during their stay, they must have them sent to another address and not to this property. Guests can legally have mail and packages sent to the local Piedmont Post Office, which is only a few blocks away, at: [Guest's Name], General Delivery, United Stated Postal Service, 630 NE Killingsworth Street, Portland, Oregon, 97211. DELIVERIES. For the security, safety, privacy and comfort of all guests, delivery personnel are not at any time permitted past the gates leading to the back or side patios. Deliveries must be made either at the front door of the main house or at the gate to the side patio, where Guest can greet the delivery personnel to receive their items. PARTIES/EVENTS. The city doesn't allow any parties or events hosted by guests. PETS/ASSISTANCE ANIMALS. Due to health restrictions, the Patio Villa is unable to accommodate any pets or companion or assistance animals. NO TOBACCO SMOKERS. The entire property is restricted from smokers of tobacco anywhere at any time, either inside or outside, or at the curbside. SHOE-FREE AREA. A "No Shoes Wearing" policy inside the Patio Cottage and Patio Suite ensures that the floor and rugs stay squeaky clean for all guests to enjoy. Provided by the door are clean wash-and-wear slippers for you to use, if you'd like. FIRE SAFETY. For the safety of the property and its inhabitants, the lighting of candles, incense, sage, and any other flammable materials is not allowed on the Property. In the case of emergency, a fire extinguisher is on the kitchen counter. CANNABIS. Consumption of medical and recreational marijuana (cannabis) is legal in Oregon. If you would like to smoke or vape cannabis, you may do so outside on the patio after first checking with your host Scott, in order to ensure that no other guests staying on the property at the time have expressed sensitivity to the scent. Smoking or vaping of cannabis is not permitted inside the rental. If you are sensitive to cannabis smoke, please let Scott know when you book so that he can ensure that other guests will not be smoking it on the property while you are here. GUEST SATISFACTION/REVIEWS. Your host Scott is available to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. If you come across even the tiniest of issues preventing that, please let him know about it right away so that he can resolve it to your complete satisfaction while you are here. If you are still not satisfied with the results, please do not be shy to tell him this so that he can definitely resolve it for you.
