A vacation in Evergreen, Colorado, allows visitors to escape city life while still accessing all Denver offers. Our Evergreen vacation rentals are located only 30 miles west of Denver among scenic beauty and fun things to do. Once a hunting grounds in the 1800s, today this resort town offers outdoor recreation, arts and culture, and community events. One popular attraction is Evergreen Lake, a hot spot for year-round recreation. In winter, the lake offers ice skating and ice fishing. When temperatures rise, visitors enjoy boating, canoeing, jogging, walking and picnicking. Nature lovers may observe elk and mule deer, hike, bike, and ride horses on trails at Elk Meadow Park. The city also houses one of the best golf courses in greater Denver – Evergreen Golf Course. This signature mountain course offers 18 holes along Bear Creek. Play rolling fairways lined with pine trees and keep an eye out for elk that live in the area. Evergreen Golf Course is located in downtown Evergreen, a welcoming community full of arts and crafts, boutiques, and restaurants. Located along the mountain waters of Bear Creek, downtown Evergreen is home to fine arts, crafts, gifts, coffee shops, live music and dining. Sip coffee with loved ones, buy handmade gifts and souvenirs, and meet local business owners and residents. Additionally, Evergreen has three craft breweries that welcome visitors to learn and sample products. Depending on time of year, there also may be area events. The city loves to honor Western mountain heritage through arts and culture, including theater and festivals. Attend live performances, bluegrass and jazz festivals, concerts, and holiday celebrations, such as Evergreen Rodeo and Parade in June. For more adventure, head to nearby Golden and Morrison, Colorado. Both destinations are less than 10 miles from Evergreen and feature their own outdoor attractions. In Golden, explore Lookout Mountain, Buffalo Bill Grave and Museum, and Lariat Loop National Scenic Byway. Visit Morrison for concerts and hiking at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater, learning at Dinosaur Ridge and playing at Tiny Town and Railroad. For an inside look at these destinations, plan a guided tour, bike, hike, climb or go whitewater rafting. After experiencing adventure, plan some downtime. TallGrass Aveda Spa and Salon features a mountain setting complete with spa services that relax the mind, body and soul. Services include massage, body treatments, hair, nail and skin care, and even lunch made with local ingredients. While Evergreen offers a scenic escape from bustling Denver, guests are within a 40-minute drive. The metro area has hundreds more things to do and see. Explore world-renowned galleries and museums, watch professional sports, dine on award-winning cuisine, shop and party. Plan your trip to Colorado! View Evergreen vacation rentals.
